Star Farms was designed differently — four builders across five enclaves, each positioned for a different lifestyle and budget.
As a result, that structure creates a real advantage for buyers who haven’t locked in on a price point or product type. You can tour townhomes in the high $300s and custom estates over $2 million in the same afternoon — all within the same gated community, sharing the same amenity system.
The tradeoff is honest: Star Farms sits at the northern end of Lakewood Ranch near I-75. That gives you fast highway access — but if your daily life revolves around Main Street or Waterside Place, you’ll be adding 15–20 minutes to most trips. With approximately two years of construction remaining, the opportunity is real — so is the activity.

Star Farms sits at the northeast end of Lakewood Ranch, near the intersection of SR 64 and Uihlein Road. A new public school just opened next to the community, and SR 64 is seeing significant new commercial and retail development. As a result, easy I-75 access puts you within range of both Bradenton and Sarasota.
What it doesn’t give you is proximity to the amenities that define Lakewood Ranch’s reputation. Therefore, if your daily routine revolves around Main Street or Waterside Place, build the commute into your decision.

Star Farms is the wrong choice if you want to be within easy reach of Lakewood Ranch’s social core. Main Street, the Saturday farmers market, Waterside Place, these aren’t a quick drive from Star Farms. They’re a 20-minute commitment each way.
For buyers who envision popping out for dinner on Main Street three times a week, that adds up.
Additionally, It’s the wrong choice if construction disruption is a dealbreaker. With roughly two years of building remaining, you’re buying into an active construction zone. Noise, dust, heavy equipment, and incomplete roads are part of the current reality.
And it’s the wrong choice if you want a settled, established neighborhood where every lot is landscaped and your neighbors have been there five years. That’s not Star Farms today.
What Star Farms is: a large, well-amenitized, multi-builder community at a price point that’s hard to match inside Lakewood Ranch. So if those priorities fit yours, it deserves a serious look.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Star Farms has both an HOA and a CDD. The HOA covers community maintenance and amenity access — fees vary by enclave and are among the more affordable in Lakewood Ranch. The CDD is a separate infrastructure assessment collected through your annual property tax bill, not as a monthly payment. Current figures vary by phase and lot — we’ll walk you through actual numbers before you make any decisions.
No. Star Farms is all-ages. The Freedom Series in the Adventure enclave attracts a predominantly active adult crowd due to its low-maintenance design — but there’s no age restriction on purchase or residency anywhere in the community.
Del Webb is age-restricted 55+ with dedicated lifestyle programming and a covenant restriction. The Freedom Series is active-adult in design only — no age gate, no restriction. If the 55+ exclusivity and programming model matters to you, Del Webb is the stronger fit. If you want the design without the restriction, Freedom Series is worth comparing.
Star Farms is approximately two years from completion as of early 2026. The community is actively building across multiple enclaves. The Discover enclave custom lots are the most time-sensitive — those are nearly sold out.
Yes — and it’s worth doing. Builder sales reps represent the builder’s interests, not yours. Having independent representation means someone is reviewing contract terms, incentive structures, lot selection, and timing on your behalf.
The most common comparisons are Lorraine Lakes (more established, central LWR location), Waterside at Lakewood Ranch (premium pricing, walkable lifestyle), and North River Ranch in Parrish (newer, lower price points). Each has a different tradeoff — we’ve worked with buyers across all of them.
